Born and raised in NYC, Joy was a part of the golden age of music in the city when club’s like Max’s Kansas City, The Great Gildersleeve’s, CBGB’s and The Cat Club were thriving.
Her bands Vagrance and Bad Eyed and Loveless were regulars on the circuit. She has done her share of recordings as well. Renown producer Max Norman took a shine to her and recorded several tracks with her, and she appears on the track “Children of the Revolution” on Paul DiAnno’s debut solo album “Killers”.
Now living in the Hudson valley with her husband Andy, their 2 sons and 2 dogs, Joy has performed on the HV club circuit with Avylonroad and Bedrock.
Her powerful vocals and great look combined with Kevin give The Grey an unmatched duo upfront that powers the band through their set.
Joy is also an advocate for the vegan lifestyle and has developed a Facebook page promoting healthy vegan dishes and recipes. You can check out her page by clicking the blue link on the upper left of the bio.
