What an incredible debut run it’s been for The Grey.

Starting back in May at the Cherry Blossom festival in Peekskill, the wolf took to the stage with their style of rock and quickly captivated the crowd. People who were standing off to the side, at vendors tents and food trucks were drawn to the stage by the powerful and unique sound of the band. By the end of the show the crowd was electrified and cheering for more.

This was followed by their appearance at Carmine’s in Elmsford, The hottest venue in the Hudson Valey. Playing to a full house and led by the manic energy of The Pack (Kari Moffat, Eric Matthews, Frank Tedeschi, et al), they proceeded to absolutely blow the roof off the place! From the first note until the last, the energy was off the hook!

Next up was Dain’s 175th anniversary street party. The excitement leading up to this show was palpable. Expectations were high and man, did the band deliver! Playing under a blistering sun and incredible heat, the band powered through a 90-minute set, once again delivering their unmistakable sound, and drove the crowd into a frenzy! So much so they were chanting “One More Set” at the end of the show! The band was overwhelmed with the support and congratulations offered by so many people that approached them after the show, all eagerly asking when and where the band would perform next.

Which brings us to the last show of the year 2023…The return to Carmine’s! What better way to cap this incredibly successful run than with a return engagement at the scene of their most boisterous performance! And to take it to the next level the band will be celebrating the birthdays of 2 original pack members and most ardent supporters, Kari Moffat and Erik Matthews. It promises to be another incredible night of rock and fun!

At this time last year, the band was known only to friends and family. Now the word has spread and the demand is high. The pack has grown from being simply family and friends to a large group that shows up at all the performances and absolutely takes the energy level up to the next level!

So what’s next for The Grey?

In 2024 they will be expanding their performance area to include the nearby NJ and Connecticut areas, introducing their brand of rock to a whole new demographic and undoubtedly growing the packs numbers. They are also looking to book some shows in MA and possibly NH next summer. And of course, they will be performing on the stages that are really built for this machine…the summer festivals!

And soon to come will be T-shirts, beanies and hoodies,’ a return trip to the recording studio so that they can offer a CD of their most requested tunes and plans for a cinematic style music video are also in the works.

2023 has been a great run for The Grey and 2024 looks to be bigger and better.
